Sara's Speech

I have many fond memories of our father. He instilled in me a great love for music and reading. People often referred to him as a walking encyclopedia and for good reason. He was a very knowledgeable man who owned a personal book collection that would rival any library out there. Anything you could ever possibly want to read or learn about - he always had just the book for you and nothing made him happier than to share his books with others. I have many memories of him and I sitting at his kitchen table reading bible stories, attending the meetings and our annual family camping trips we took to the Ottawa area to attend the assemblies. In doing so, he also instilled in me a deep love, respect and appreciation for God's word which continues to enrich my life to this day. Our father also had a great imagination and was a lot of fun. From playing dressup, trips to the parks where we would play games like Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, skating at Victoria Park in the winters and taking in the wading pools in the summers and of course our movie nights which were always preceded by a walk to the candy store. These beautiful memories and the lessons he has taught me I will cherish and carry in my heart and mind forever. He was a great man and a wonderful father and I will miss him greatly and think of him always. Sara
